Thick chocolate caramel brownies
2 boxes supermoist chocolate fudge cake mix 2 cups chopped walnuts 1 cup butter melted 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk (not sweetened condensed) 1 14 oz bag caramels, unwrapped 1 11.5 oz bag Milk chocolate chips
In large bowl combine 1 box of cake mix, 1 cup nuts, 1/2 cup melted butter and 1/2 cup evaporated milk. I mixed this by hand, batter will be thick. Spray pam on 13x9x2 cakepan. Spread all of the batter on the bottom of the pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 12 minutes. Insaucepan, combine caramels & 1/2 cup evaporated milk. Stir over low heat until caramels aremelted. Sprinkle 1/2 bag milk chocolate chips over baked cake. Drizzle caramel mixture over themilk chocolate chips. Mix other box of cake mix with 1 cup walnuts, 1/2 cup melted butter and 1/2cup evaporated milk. Drop batter onto caramel mixture with teaspoon. Try to cover all the caramelwith the batter. Sprinkle remaining chips over batter. Bake 40 to 60 minutes depending on youroven. ( I jiggle the pan back and forth if it’s really jiggly it’s not done, if it’s a little jiggly it’s done. It’s hard to judge until you cut it.
